Our psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

ABOUT

Our team have extensive experience in intervention for and assessment of neurodevelopmental and trauma disorders such as autism (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), giftedness, PTSD and learning disabilities. Our psychologists have worked across various settings, including , child protection services, public health services and schools.

Altair Psychology aims to provide high-quality, client-centred and collaborative care for all our clients. Our psychologists adopt a respectful and non-judgmental approach to provide a supportive environment for clients to work towards reaching their goals. We are passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities including migrants, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and those identifying as LGBTIQ+. Our psychologists work with people of all ages from young children to adults and can speak to clients in English, and Mandarin.

Meet our Principal Psychologist

Shi Hui Lee is our principal psychologist (educational and developmental) and board approved supervisor. She has practical experience that spans across private practice, hospital, education, and the social service sector. Shi Hui has also worked with individuals across the lifespan and from diverse back grounds at the individual, group, and systemic level.

Shi Hui Lee has extensive experience in medical and psychological research. She has held workshops and training sessions to medical professionals in enhancing patient-centered care. She adopts a humane approach to mental health and believes in the importance of helping clients develop personal meanings and ways of overcoming their challenges.

Shi Hui and her team are passionate about sharing tools, knowledge, skills, and perspectives on various wellbeing and mental health domains (neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, parenting, self-growth, and more). We run workshops, seminars, and information sessions to empower those working in the education sector, allied health and health professionals, parents, families, and individuals.

Shi Hui provides counselling and interventions across a range of areas, such as anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioural regulation, grief, trauma, autism and learning difficulties. She draws on a range of evidence-based interventions and theoretical approaches to best suit the needs of the individual. Shi Hui strongly believes in supporting individuals to become strong advocates in their journey, empowering families, and equipping them with skills for facilitating acceptance and growth.
Aside from therapeutic support, Shi Hui provides psychological assessments for individuals who are querying a range of neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD), cognitive and psycho-educational assessments for children and adults.

Board Approved Supervision
Shi Hui currently provides supervision to psychologists holding general registration, those completing the 4 +2 and 5 + 1 pathways, and secondary supervision of psychologists completing their registrar program. Professional supervision for other allied health professionals such as social workers and occupational therapists is available upon request.
Vacancies for primary supervision for registrar pathways will open in 2025.
Supervision is available from $180 per 50-minute session.
