About

At Altair Psychology we respect and embrace diversity. Our team provide a safe and supportive space to accompany clients on their journey of discovery as they are guided to gain insight through curiosity and learn tools for growth and empowerment. Our experienced team has had the opportunity to work with many individuals to overcome life’s ups and downs, learn about themselves and flourish.

Whether it is depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, learning challenges, or giftedness, our team will not hesitate to embark on the journey with you to build greater self-awareness, acceptance, or obtain a formalised answer.

The name Altair comes from one of the brightest stars in the night sky – a guiding light within the constellation Aquila, known as “the flying eagle”. At Altair Psychology, this symbolism holds deep meaning: we are committed to walking alongside individuals as they navigate their internal landscapes, offering clarity, insight, and direction during life’s darkest or most uncertain moments.

Just as Altair helps form the Summer Triangle in the celestial sphere, our worked is grounded in the integration of science, soul, and lived experience – illuminating the path toward growth, healing, and self-liberation. We believe therapy is both a grounding and elevating process, and we are honoured to be part of your journey through it.

We also recognise and honour the diversity of minds and experiences that shape each person’s story. While we do not take a one-size fits-all approach, we value neurodivergent perspectives and strive to create a therapeutic space where individuals feels respected, understood, and supported without needing to change who they are at their core. Our focus is on helping clients build self-understanding and strategies that work with, not against, the way they naturally think, feel, and connect.

At Altair Psychology, we don’t just provide therapy – we hold space for the complexities of being human, and support clients in finding their own unique rhythm, strength, and sense of direction.
